I was lucky enough to speak at a fashion show that raised money for Lymphodema patients. It was the first time that I spoke at an event about the horrible dog bite and how it made me feel "different." Lymphodema patients wear sleeves to reduce their swelling. Many of the people I spoke to felt their sleeve makes them look different. I spoke about looking in the mirror with my facial damage and thinking that people were judging me. It was inspiring to share my story and meet these survivors!
